The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is an undergraduate academic conferred after completion of a three-year, a four-year or even a five-year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university-level institution. B.Tech. is considered as skill-oriented course in India.
B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) and BE (Bachelor Of Engineering) both are same degrees and offered in the engineering disciplines.
Degree is regulated under the University Grants Commission of India (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Admission is usually through an engineering entrance examination

Students can take admission in this course after appearing for entrance exams which are conducted by various state/central JEE (Joint Entrance Exams).
One can take admission after appearing in AIEEE (All India Engineering Entrance Exam).
The total program fee for course would range between 4 to 8 Lacs (approx.) in India.
Students must have to completed high school/secondary school/junior college or some equivalent form of secondary education and placed in the top 25% of their class.
Students are shortlisted on the basis of their Year 10 or most recent Board exam (taken in the past 2 years) and SP Jain Entrance Test (SPJET) or SAT score
Completed 10+2 / A Level / IB / American 12th or equivalent with the Physics, Mathematics
and English as compulsory subjects and Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or
any technical vocational subject as optional. Students must have a minimum
average of 50% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the optional subjects
- 3 years BE/BTech after Diploma of Engineering.
- 4 years BE/BTech after class 12.
